Our Story
PPEC of Palm Beach is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center that serves medically fragile children in Palm Beach County. As a PPEC, we deliver medical care in a daycare setting while stimulating social and interpersonal growth. We serve children from birth to under 21 years of age in a clean, professional, and nurturing environment. Among our founders are parents of special needs children, as well as an experienced healthcare administrator and a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Being parents who have walked the same path as many of our families, we understand that quality care for medically fragile children is more than a job, it is a commitment. A commitment to making a difference in each child and their family’s life. Our staff of experienced nurses, therapists, and PPEC assistants understand this responsibility and honor our caretaking duties wholeheartedly. Mission
PPEC of Palm Beach was founded to focus on the quality of care for medically-complex children. Our founders include parents of medically fragile children who understand the complexities of the special needs world. They have walked the same path as many of you, raising children with different abilities.
Our goal is to reduce emergency room visits and hospital stays while providing continuity of care, all under the attentive supervision of our director of nursing. We work as a team to ensure compassionate care is provided to all our wonderful children. We strive to bring peace of mind to you and your family by fostering a nurturing environment with the highest caliber health care staff.
Philosophy
PPEC of Palm Beach’s philosophy is twofold. First, we offer our children the highest quality PPEC services available by employing top-notch medical professionals. And second, we deliver this exceptional care in a loving, enriching, and safe environment.
Our facility is state-of-the-art and impeccably maintained. We believe the best practice to positively impact the child is by leveraging a comprehensive team of top-notch nurses, therapists, PPEC Assistants, physicians, and a family resource specialist to create and administer the Plan of Care. The Plan of Care will be revised and updated as your child’s health needs evolve.
